Mountains to Sea Birding for Teens Hog Island Camp 2025

We are pleased to announce the Cape Cod Bird Club (CCBC) is again offering scholarships for two Cape Cod students age 14-17 to attend a bird-watching and natural history camp in Bremen, Maine. We are asking for your assistance in helping us find worthy candidates.
The successful students will receive a full-tuition ($1,725) scholarship to attend the Mountains to Sea Birding for Teens camp June 29 – July 4, 2025 at the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen, Maine, For information about the camp, go to Mountains to Sea Teen Birding Camp.
Scholarship applicants must be a resident of Cape Cod and must be age 14-17 during the week of camp.

All application materials must be received by the deadline to be considered.
Top applicants may be interviewed by one or more Scholarship Committee members during the selection process. The award decision will be made in April 2025. The scholarship recipient is expected to register directly with the camp, via a link that will be sent by Audubon. The CCBC will arrange payment of the full camp tuition (which covers meals, housing, instruction and all boat trips). Please note that the scholarship recipient is responsible for all other costs, including transportation to and from the Portland International Jetport in Portland, Maine.
The scholarship recipient will be expected to write a brief article (approx. 250 words) for the Fall 2025 edition of the CCBC Kingfisher newsletter (article due in mid to late August). The recipient will also be expected to attend the December 2025 meeting of the CCBC at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in the early evening (7:00 – 8:00) to give a brief (10-15 mins) slide presentation about their experience and be available to answer members’ questions about the camp experience.
