HISTORY: The Ludlow Griscom Award is made by the Cape Cod Bird Club to a deserving individual for their contribution to the world of birding.\u00a0 The contribution should relate to birding, in accordance with the mission of the CCBC as stated in the By-Laws.\u00a0 It should be broadly interpreted so that it could simply be long-term service to the birding community, or a single significant act, or anything in between.\u00a0 The Club should first look to its membership, but not exclusively so.<\/p>\n
ABOUT LUDLOW GRISCOM:\u00a0 Ludlow Griscom (June 17, 1890 \u2013 May 28, 1959) was an American ornithologist known as a pioneer in field ornithology.
